No. You can go to either get an associate’s degree in nursing or a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Associate’s consists of 1 year of lower division courses followed by 2 years of upper division nursing school including clinicals. Bachelor’s includes 2 years of lower division courses followed by 2 years of upper division nursing school including clinicals.

No, you do not. And answerer #1 does NOT know what she is talking about. An associate degree is 2 years. You can enroll directly into an associates or bachelors nursing program. I did an ASN and then went back and got my bachelors in economics.
