Distracted by my computer especially because of fanfiction, any suggestions????
This question isn’t really for me but for my best friend. She has to get her summer reading done, but every single time she gets distracted by fanfiction. I’ve told her to turn off her computer but she needs to type her notes on it. She’s asked me for help and I have absolutely no clue what to do!

Get her a very cheap, used laptop. You can pick them up for $50 bucks or so. One that runs an old windows version and an old word processing program (just make sure it has a USB port). She can type her notes on that, and transfer them to her main machine at a later date with a little jump drive. That way she can type them, but has nothing else on the machine except the word processing program. She could also use a GASP … typewriter!

Hi, yeah fanfiction can be very distracting. If she has AOL have her parents block the website. Also put the internet icon in the trash can, that way she would have to search for the internet icon. Another thing is sit with your friend and watch her, make sure she does not go on the internet. My best suggestion would for her to hand write her notes and then type them.
