$38.85 if the $20 overhead is for the full order. (((50*$155)+$20) *1.25) / 50 – ($155+($20 / 50)) Overall price would be $155 * 50 + $20 overhead totaling $7,770.00 * 1.25 for markup, totaling $9712.50. Dividing by 50 units = $194.25. Subtracting total cost of $155.00 per unit and $.40 ($20 / 50) per unit for overhead. Leaving $38.85 for total profit.

With the 25% markup they sell the VCR’s for $193.75

The overhead charge spread out between the 50 VCR’s is

$20 / 50 = $0.40

The profit would be what their sold at ($193.75) minus distributors cost ($155) minus the overhead charge for one VCR ($0.40)

193.75 – 155 – .40 = >>>$38.35<<<

The answer is the 25% mark up on the price paid

A retail markup is the amount of money that is added to the price.

Therefore:

(50(155+20) * 1.25)/50 – 175 = answer

The answer is a profit of $43.75!
