relax. 🙂 powerpoints are visual aids. first prepare on the facts, n wut do u want to say. n then practice speakin or memorizing wutevers important. n then write the main points on the powerpoint. it will help u, i mean by glancing at the points, u might be able to remember wut u r supposed to say. n lastly, do not be nervous. it is a presentation. i always think of myself as, “the purpose im doin this (presentation) is to educate people, so thats wut im goin to do”. try to be creative in ur nonverbal communications. if som1 has presented before u, n u think he/she is better, forget it, coz evryone is different in their ways of presenting. and do be aware that the audience might ask some questions. forecastin those questions is a good idea..on things that ur not so sure about, try minimizing info on the slides, so that u can lie, yes lie, ull be able to lie, or give spontaneous examples effectively if ur not stuck to the points on the slides. these are the points that ive used to get prepared for my presentations. just to get away with it gracefully. heheh. have faith in urself.

Can I?
hey buddy, Why do you get afraid? Don’t get nervous, you are student of psychology and you are saying that you are nervous, it’s not done.

Think it with cool mind, and don’t ignore it as just another lecture.

Start Power point and find few topics you may want to talk about, If you don’t start PowerPoint and just keep on thinking how to start, you will keep on thinking with no progress.

Make important points from your notebook, book, online sources like wikipedia, Choose beautiful discriptions, also don’t forget to add points particularly given by your teacher if you have them, cause teachers become proud and happy when they see points tought by them in lecture.

And if you are nervous about what people will think, you will be good or not etc, then i wanna say you one thing, In 2003 I suddenly got rised by a local media for my field, I had to deal lots of people, I didn’t know even what to talk, and my audience were very specificly targeted people, I was afraid as if even if I breath they would make a meaning out of it. It’s not like that in real, be cool nobody will say you anything. Go on with what you know, show the speciallity in you, that you know in psychology, if somebody laughs at your work just ignore that, don’t give a damn about it. Thats how you crack your nervousness. Also if you have to do this kinda presentations in your life at future too, you may want to apply many techniques, like go to top of your house and sing loud – this is technique suggested by well known world leaders, giving speech or showing presentation in a room, if possible keep your near friends, else you alone try it. Talk infront of many Mirrors, that you wanna talk in presentation, this is technique used by Late. Indira Gandhi of Prime Minister of india.

So be cool and go one give a try, I know you will do it! no need to be nervous.

well, if you’re doing well in this course. This should be no problem. And if you’re like me, who doesn’t like to speak in front of people often, then you’re gonna have to do some extra self motivation. Keep telling yourself that you’re presenting in front of familiar people and that what you present to them will be beneficial to them in the long run. You have to have a bit of confidence within yourself in order for your audience to take head in what you’re talking about.

The best thing to keep in mind is that the information your’e gathering for your presentation is what you feel is the best information you can present to your audience and your Lecturer. All you can do is do your best and practice does make perfect.

good luck
