Civil war disease?!?

Im doing a report on the civil war and its based on like im writing it in a magazine article back then… im writing it about how younger soldiers were much more at risk to catch disease…. BUT I HAVE TO PUT HOW THEY CAN AVOID SICKNESS? help please!

How about avoiding contact with others as much as possible and with the sick entirely. Washing and bathing as frequently as possible. Cooking food thoroughly.

don’t get caught,you wind up in a pow camp and catch most everything,young boys weren’t to sharp on the ways of the city,but put them in the woods they ever seldom get caught,the diseases of the time were dysentery,sexual transmitted ,broken bones,something like bed sores or bed bugs,tick bites cause rocky mt,spotted fever,even a skunk could spread hydrophobia,cats if they lived,carried typhoid,starvation was one of the biggest causes of death
