chem help. which distance is greater, 50miles or 100km. by how many meters??
please help! and show me the steps, i have the answer but i have noo idea to figure it out and i have 9 more of these problems!

it is very simple. 1mile = 1.6 kilometer hence-
50miles = 80km(50*1.6) which is obviously smaller than 100km.
so just remember, 1mile = 1.6 km
and 1km = 1000 meters
the difference between 80km(50mile) to 100km is 20 km(100-80)
20km = 20,000meter(20*1000)
there you go.

if you are talking about land miles 1 land mile is equal to about 1.60935 km so you only multiply how many miles you have for this number and you’ll get the km then you only do a simple subs traction
