Check my grammer please?

The second place we see the theme in (Of Mice and Men) is when George promises Lennie a ranch of their own. When George says “Someday we’re gonna get the jack together and we’re gonna have a little house and a couple of acres an’ a cow and some pigs and we’ll have a big vegetable patch and a rabbit hutch and chickens.”

He tells Lennie the American Dream is within their grasp. Of course both of them will never have land of their own. Not now, not tomorrow or in the near future, and especially not during the Great Depression.

After your quote of George’s ends, you should put a comma and use that next sentence fragment to complete the thought. As such:

…..a big vegetable patch and a rabbit hutch and chickens”, he is telling Lennie the American dream is in their grasp. Of course, neither of them will ever have land of their own. Otherwise it looks good to me.
