can u buy lava from volcanos?, for a school project?
my daughter is doing a project on volcanos,all the other kids are making a volcano, but shed like to do something different, i thought she could take some volcano rock to show the class
or do u have any ideas for her project?, thanks

I remember I had the same project and making a volcano was so much fun.
But she could do a poster with differences between an active and dormant volcano with examples and pictures.
Just buying a lava wouldnt be as fun

Nearly all rocks are actually volcano rocks. They go through a cycle of Igneous (cooled down lava) rocks to metamorphosis (created by pressure and heat) to sedimentary (broken up by elements) and back to Igneous again. So basically, any rock you see on the ground have been lava from volcanoes.

i went up the volcano in Sicily… you can’t buy lava, you can though buy some rocks… even colored one because of the effects of lava, i think that would be great, i have myself one pink and a gold rock.. it is kind of all black but it sparkles gold, and the other one pink…. at least it is more original =)

yes sure, just go to hawaii where the volcanos erupt every day. just grab as much as you can and stuff it in your pockets. but hurry, make sure to get it while its hot
