Puritans (pilgrims) of early America were themselves “immigrants” who migrated from their homelands to seek a better future, a less oppressed future. Rationalists stood against common traditions of their times and questioned reasoning, they would not believe or follow something they did not fully believe in. Modern day immigrants are often migrating for the same reasons, they want to be able to have their own opinion and follow what they believe is right.
