The slope of the given line is the change in y, which is 9, over
the corresponding change in x, which is 3, giving a slope of
3. The product of the slopes of two perpendicular lines is -1,
so the slope of the line perpendicular to the given line will be
that number by which you have to multiply 3 to obtain -1, so,
3*S=-1, so
