1. the average person in the U.S. uses 340 L of water per day. Convert this to millimeters.
2. A quart is about 946mL. How many liters are in a quart?
3. A 1500 meter race is sometimes called the “metric mile”. If there are 6.2 miles in 10 kilometers, how many miles is 1500 meters?
4. One nerd= 3 glecks, 2 glecks= 5 science teachers. the answer is 30 science teachers. how do you get that answer?

1. (I’m guessng u meant milliliters) 340×1000 = 340,000 mL (b/c there are 1000 mL in a L.
2. 1 qt. = 946 mL 946/1000 = .946 L
3. 1500/1000 = 1.5 km 1.5/10×6.2 = .93 miles
4. 3 gleck x 2 glecks x 5 science teachers =30 science teachers
