can someone help me solve 3/4 x = 27 please?
Favorite Answer
first you change the fraction (3/4) into a decimal (.75). Then you want to get the variable (x) on one side by itself. Now you have to divide. You have to get the x alone so you divide. You always do the opposite of what the sign already is. For this problem the .75 is being multiplied – so all you have to do is divide it on both sides:
.75x/.75 = 27/.75
The .75 on the left side cancell out so you’re left with x = 27/.75. Which is x = 36.
I did the steps because just getting the answer doesn’t help you learn. Good luck on your homework!
x= 27 times 4/3
x= 36
= 36
multiply by the inverse of the fraction
(4/3)(3/4) x = (4/3)27
(4*3)/(3*4) x = (4*27/3)
1 x = (4*9)
x = 36
36 x .75 = 27
4/3*(3/4x)=27*4/3
x=108/3 =36
multiply both sides by 4/3 to get x by itself (3/4*4/3=1)
27 times 4 divided by 3 gives you 36 Good Luck
x = 27*4/3
x = 36
x = 27*4/3
x = 36
OR
3x=108
x=36
