A voice cue is something that you say to get somebody or something else to do something.
For example, when training a dog you might use a hand cue (pushing your palm toward the floor) and a voice cue (sit!).
When giving a speech, you might give a voice cue to alert somebody to show a certain slide or release the hounds, or something. For example, when you say “we can let our ideas take flight”, that could be the cue for them to release the white doves.
