BEST ANSWER TO FIRST PERSON TO GET CORRECTLy?
Harry and Angela look from their balcony to a swimming pool below that is 25m from the bottom of their building. They estimate the balcony is 50 m high and wonder how fast they would have to jump horizontally to succeed in reaching the pool. What is your answer?

first find how long it will take to drop 50 meters. that should be around 3 seconds. then divide 25 m by 3 s to get around 8-9 m/s.
i dont have any formulas or a calculator with me so im saying around 8.5 m/s horizontally. remember that horizontal speed stays constand because there are no horizontal forces acting on it.
edit:
these people are not too bright. velocity is only constant in the horizontal motion because gravity does not affect it. in the vertical motion gravity causes acceleration and thus a change in velocity.
Oh, and it’s pretty hard to fall 75 feet in one direction.
