Average rate of change?
How do I find it? If an athlete dives to an elevation of -42 meters (notice the negative – I know it’s obvious, but just in case anyone might miss it…) in 60 seconds, how do I find the average rate of change in the elevation WITHOUT graphing?
Thanks everyone!

That’s basically a slope. -42m/60s = -0.7 m/s
