Are these sentences correct?
In today’s generation, there are many unhealthy habits that have been produced. 16% of high school students are obese; sports involvement is a great way to prevent obesity.

Sentences 2 and 3 are okay. The first one doesn’t sound quite right; I would say “habits that have developed”.

I would say:
– Change “produced”. This verb doesn’t really work.
– Never start out a sentence with a number.
– Numbers under 100 should be spelled out.
– Percent should be spelled out.
– It should be “sport”, not “sports”.
– Work on flow. The semi-colon makes it very awkward.

I believe that when beginning a sentence with a number it should be spelled out. So, “Sixteen percent.”
