Are my math problems right?

The product of 8 and a number = 8a

3 less than a number = x-3

a number increased by 10 = x+10

the quotient of a number and 6 = x/6

Which terms are not like terms

A. 8y and -4y B. 2 and 3.14 C. x2 and x5 or D. x2 and 5×2 my answer is A

Which expression is equivalent to 8t-6(2t-1)

D is the correct answer over A because the -4y means negative 4 not subtract 4 which makes it the same kind of term as 8y (which is actually +8 but we don’t bother with the positive sign) — in case that’s what threw you off.

Teach has shown you correctly how to simplify the expression by multiplying the terms in the brackets, so for further confirmation, I agree that I is the correct answer.
