Anyone have links to very good, free information sites like World Book Encylopedia and Wikipedia?
Wikipedia is too unreliable and with World Book you need an subscription.

I always use ask.com. it seems to have the most reliable info. it will link you to many more sites than google or yahoo.
you are right about wikepedia. it is full of half truths and opinions posing as facts

That’s an ironic question and reflective of the current state of mind of internet users today. Generally free is not very good. Information that is free is generally worth what you paid for it. You are much better off doing your own research and verification of information you find on the internet. Or you could spend some time in your local library finding the information you want from reliable sources.

It depends on what your’re looking for. Often times you can find better information on more specific sites than on the larger more general sites.
