Anybody good with Math Functions? HELP!?

please solve this for me. I know it’s bad asking for answer on the internet.

okay

If f(x) = x2(the 2 is a power) – 1 and g(x) = x+1, find f(g(x)) and g (f(x)).

I got this really weird fator for each. x3-x2-x-1 (something like that).

f(g(x)) = f(x + 1) = (x + 1)^2 – 1 = x^2 + 2x

g(f(x)) = g(x^2) = x^2 + 1

f(x) = x^2 – 1 and g(x) = x+1.

f(g(x)) = (x+1)^2 – 1 = x^2 + 2x

g(f(x)) = (x^2-1) +1 = x^2

it will be

f(g(x)) = (x+1)(x+1)

and

g(f(x)) = x2 + 1
