algebra 2 question…?

The center post on a teeter-totter is 2 ft high. When one end of the teeter-totter rests on the ground, that end is 7 ft from the center post…. find the slope of the teeter-totter.

Know that the slope is rise over run.

Since the teeter-totter’s post is 2 ft high and the end of the teeter-totter is 7ft from the post on the ground.

The rise is 2 ft. The run is 7 ft. The slope is 2/7.

Rise over run=Slope.

Rise is 2 feet because it is 2 feet high at the center point. The run is 7 feet because that’s the distance between the end of the teeter-totter to the center point. Now that you know what the rise and run are, just divide.
