Since there is no number by itself on the right side, you have to get x by itself by subracting 9x from both sides. The 9x on the left cancels out and then 3x – 9x = -6x.
Now you are left with -6 = -6x.
All you have left to do is divide -6x by -6.
-6 divided by -6 is positive 1 so x = 1!
subtract the 9 to the other side:\
-6= -6x
divide on the right hand side of the equation by -6. Do the same on the other side. -6 divided by -6 = 1.
9x -6=3x
Ok subtract 3x from 9x.
9x-6=3x
-3x -3x
6x-6=0
now add 6 to the other side.
6x-6=0
+6 +6
6x=6
Now divide by 6 on both sides.
6x=6

6 6
x= 1
Hope you understand.
6x=6
x=1
add a six to both sides to move it then subtract the 3x from both sides to get it to the other side
divide 6 by both sides and get 1
