3×2 equals 6

so you need to add one more to get 7.

2 times what equals 1?

x=1/2

Is that 3 TIMES 2? If it is then the answer is 6+2x = 7.

Subtract both sides by 6, so then it will look like 2x=1.

Divide both sides by two, and then x = 1/2.

I’m not sure though.

I’m not sure if i’m reading this correct…

if question is:

3*2+2x = 7

6+2x=7

subtract 6 on both side to get 2x by itself…

(6-6)+2x=7-6

2x=1

divide 2 on both side to get x by itself…

2x/2 = 1/2

x=0.5

ok so 3*2 is six so you now have

6+2x=7

subract six

you now have

2x=1

divide by2

x=1/2 or .5

the rest theorem: whilst P(x) is split via x-a, the rest is P(a) The polynomial P(x) is being divided via x+one million, or x-(-one million). the rest is P(-one million): (-one million)^3 + 3(-one million)^2 – 2(-one million) + 7 -one million + 3 + 2 + 7 11 the rest is 11.

If I’m reading this right, then x= -1, right? If not, ignore the math moron I appear to be.
