Prose- everyday speech- includes letters, most plays, essays, novels, journals, diaries, testimonials, dialogue, etc. Usually divide with paragraphs.
Non-prose/ poetry- includes… poems, both lyric and narrative (which would include much of Shakespeare’s work, which is why I said MOST plays in prose). Usually divide with stanzas.
