I am part native American and growing up my grandmother taught me how to make different colors by using stone and grinding it into a powder, plants such as “the lipstick tree”, easier to grind into a powder, and using different colors of flowers which you first must dry then use a mortar and pestle to grind. Wait until you are ready to apply to whatever surface and slightly moisten it right before applying to surface(not too much water). The stone ground can be applied without moistening, use a make-up brush. If you have any mistakes in the process make sure to include in procedure portion. It shows humility and shows others what not to try. This way you can pass on your knowledge. I am a teacher who works with art projects, and by letting others know what didn’t work you are teaching too. Best wishes, I wish more students would do this, many are afraid to admit mistakes. However, from a teacher’s view, these are some of the things we look for.

P.S. when I was your age I too entered a science project,I included where I had made a mistake, but then tried another way. I not only got a blue ribbon in my county, but went to state(got a red ribbon there, but still won money! It is very inspiring to see a student so eager to try new things,to learn. I bet your parents and teachers are proud of you. I don’t know you but you brightened my day. Thanks!

How about how mentos explodes when you put it in coke, but doesn’t when ingested together- find the facts and write a conclusion.
