(-2x+8)(x-2) write the quadratic function

(2x+18)(x+7) write the quadratic function

(-4x+24)(x-8) write the quadraric function

3×2+a56 write the quadratic function

Problem

you have a picture that is 5 inches by 7 inches.You want to make a frame for the picture that is of uniform width.Together,the picture and the frame have an area of 99 inches.What should be the width of the frame?

*Its not that many problems,i know but i already worked the problems ,i want to see if i really get because I have a test tomorrow.

(5 + X)(7 + X) = 99

35 + 12x + X^2 = 99

X^2 + 12X – 64 = 0

(X – 4)(X + 16) = 0

X = 4

but X is the double the width you want (1/2 is on top 1/2 on bottom)

same with left and right

therefore the width you want is 2
