I’m homeschooled (in the 9th grade). I lived in Ohio for 13 years and I took a vacation to Kentucky, so I may be able to help you a bit with ideas.
The Kentucky Horse Park is a great place in Kentucky, especially if you like animals. There’s lots of history, you get to see famous horses, the great horse Man O’ War is buried there and you can ride horses and pet ponies/horses.
When it comes to Ohio there’s a lot of things you can see. The Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center, Football Hall of Fame, Inventors’ Hall of Fame, the big Snake Mound, just to name a few. There’s also places that were a part of the underground railroad. I hope this helps and gives you some ideas.

call your local homeschooling dept and find a list of other homeschoolers look up for your area on commputer they have lots of field trips park days and outtings also
