I applied for the loan June 29. Today’s date is August 21st. It’s almost been two months, and the loan has yet to be approved. I’ve contacted Sallie Mae several times, and made sure all of the information they needed was given. They said everything was correct, it would just take time. But I have friends who have also gone through Sallie Mae, applied for the same loan later than I did, and have had it already approved. So far I’ve had to pay for books out of pocket, and I was only able to make a payment on my tuition, which I had planned to pay in full. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?
