First of all, fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov. It’s government aid that then gets reported to your school, and the school might give you aid as well. Plus, it’s free, so you have nothing to lose!

Sign up with a scholarship search site like fastweb.com. You enter all of your information and interests and it comes up with scholarships that cater to your attributes! For example, if you say you like photography, it’ll come up with scholarships focusing on taking photos for a money prize.

Look for scholarships based on your job, your nationality, your organizations (especially Boy/Girl Scouts, sports, and school groups), your parents’ jobs, and scholarships that cater to anything special about you. There are scholarships for left-handed people, for tall people, for skateboarders… everyone, really!

Ask around at your school’s financial aid office, as well as that of the high school that you graduated from (or will graduate from). Very often they’ll have special scholarships there.

Best of luck!

pound the internet, a good 3 hours a week should be good

www.fastweb.com

If you haven’t filed a fafsa with the Federal Government go here

www.fafsa.ed.gov

you’ll have to fill out a PIN thingie, and it takes some time, but SO worth it!

I did it, I get all my tuition, plus 844 a semester to be a full time student
