what is agoverment grant and how do I get one?
I am in ollage and I need an apartment and money for car insurance so I can get from work to school and back.

Government grants are free and you don’t need to pay them back. However, they are very limited and are for the most underprivileged. Also, I don’t know if you can use the money for expenses beyond tuition.
You can apply on-line for grants:
http://www.grants.gov/
You can also apply for financial aid through Sallie Mae, AAA, banks, etc. and that money can be used for any expenses.

I don’t think you’re going to get a grant for things like that. Money for your car insurance isn’t a necessity, and if your school has one maybe you should just stay on campus.
Get a student loan instead.
