Is Sallie Mae a good college loaner?

I remember going to a college fair last year and a group of students were protesting some company. But I’m not quite sure if it was Sallie Mae or not.

well you have to do some investigating…everyone loan company has its pros and cons..i had such a hard time finding a good college loan lender but i just went with what my school told me since people aren’t really willing to educate us students about loans. I didn’t hear anything bad about them, but they all have high rates these days it seems…make sure you get all the major details or maybe even talk to your financial aid office, even though they sometimes are just as clueless as we are. best luck

Sallie Mae is the student loan people with FAFSA. Yes they are as bad as their buddy Freddy Mac. However we have unfortunately been forced to adhere to their whims due to the “Health Care” bill that had the educational loans buried in it. It basically took the banks out of the picture and gave it to the government. This is very bad…. Any way…I could go on and on… The big thing that you need to know is that you only have to take what you need. Compare your packages and attend the college that gives you the best package making sure that you ask if the package is for all years not just the freshman year. Start saving your money so that you have at least $2000. when you get to college. Apply for scholarships all through your college years. Qualify for them by doing community service, joining a club and taking a leadership position after a year or so.

NO! NO! NO! Do NOT borrow from them! They are corrupt, I swear it. They will lose your info and use predatory practises against you. For more info and testimonials, visit studentloanjustice.org. I bet it was Sallie Mae those students were protesting. Also, Upromise is affiliated with Sallie Mae, just so you know.

Sallie Mae has very high interest rates but most lenders do. I suggest you call your financial aid office and talk to them about good lenders. I’m struggling with the same problem. Good Luck!!!
