If you know where you want to go start at the school. That is what they are there for to help you through the admissions process and financing options. Do you have federal student loans? If you go back to school at least half time there may be a possiblity that the loan can be deferred thus allowing you to not make no payments. But if it accrues interest pay at least the interest while you are in school. That will give you some temporary payment relief even pay a little more that is manageable to knock some of the principal off so that when you finish school you have some relief. Of course if you can still make the payments make them but at least you have that safety net while you are in school.
