Only apply for what you need in loans. Call your financial aid administrator and find out what loans will suit you, what you need to do, and if you have to sign a master promissory(which this is usually a must!). Regardless of what loans you take, remember that while pell grants do not have to be paid back, perkin’s loans and stafford loans do, even though they don’t require you to pay interest until you have graduated, they still require you to pay them back. And personally I wouldn’t apply for multiple loans unless you absolutely HAVE to have the money, waiting until the spring semester may allow you to see if you even NEED the loans.
Make an appointment with your financial aid advisor, and get accurate good info that applies to your specific situation.
Good Luck!
