How to pay for pharmacy school?

I am an aspiring pharmacist and I was wondering how can I pay for pharmacy school without getting large loans that will take me forever to pay back. I dont want to be 40 years old still paying back loans. Is there companies like Walgreens that will pay my way through pharmacy school if I agree to work for them. Please inform me on any way to pay for pharmacy school without getting large loans?(Large loans to me is over 50% of the tuition)

Check with the school you wish to attend to see if they have any scholarship programs you may qualify for. While these are pretty few and far between, they are out there. Otherwise, you’ll have to rely on loans to get you through.

I doubt Walgreen’s will pay for pharmacy school on your promise to work for the company at some point in the future, but W. would probably be happy to employ you while in school (price check, colgate toothpaste…) Your question is kind of like, well, if I agree to work for a certain law firm, will that firm pay my way through law school? Or for a certain HMO chain, will it pay my way through med school? And so on. Obviously, you can check out Walgreen’s web site. Scholarships, aid programs, etc. from various sources, etc.

You do understand that after becoming a pharmacist the loan would be pretty easy to pay off, right? Pharmacists make pretty good money
