The closer you/your family is to the poverty line the more aid you will receive. Its not just money though, there are other factors, size of family, number of children in school, if you will commute.

You do not need to make a certain amount of money to be considered for financial aid. In fact, the less that you or your family makes, the more financial aid you will receive.
