Ok lets start with are you on State Aide? If not check into it as well as home nursing if your chil/children have medical needs you may be approved. I had 12 hrs of nursing 7 days a week for my son. i am also on food stamps and medicaide which means I can get daycare and since my kids have special needs it can be of who I choose in my home or theirs I dont have to go t a germy daycare center. That will free up some time for you to study and go to school. As for your grants and such yes you can get grants for nigh classes as long as it is an accredited college. Just go to the college and ask for a FAFSA form or go online http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and fill it out and you will be able to find the school code online as well if there is no school code you can call the school for one or they may not be accredited.Check this out to might help http://www.fastweb.com/ it will also pay for online classes. I took microsoft word online and algebra, government at night. Check with the school of your choose for others scholarships and grants that FAFSA might not include and you have to apply for seperately. I went to school and had extra left to pay for other stuff like the phone bill. We had a household of 3 low income and i was hte only 1 i school if you husband wants to go to school for some reason they will actually give you LESS not more money to help. I would choose a small school to do all your basics in it is easier and normally cheaper then the bigger schools. You will need your ACT score that test is not covered by grants so go ahead and study and take it while your waiting for the FAFSA to be approved. You should also get the application in to the school so they know your interested and enroll inthe classes. You ahev till like the 10th day of class to cancel without paying so if something happens you wont owe or you can cut back on some hours. Best of luck to you. Oh 1 more thing depending on the state your in you can “homeschool” your kids for free just look up virtual schools k-12 and that might at least give you some basic stuff to study.
